Manatee County Agricultural MuseumWith tourism promoted as the number one industry in Manatee County, the historical role agriculture has played in the development of the county has been lost among young people. The Manatee County Agricultural Museum works to combine recognizing the historical achievements of its pioneer farmers with a hands-on museum designed to educate as well as entertain.

The museum’s exhibits focus on Manatee County’s primary commodities including livestock, vegetables, citrus, horticulture, and commercial fishing. The museum also features displays of tools, equipment, photographs and exhibits that reflect the area’s rich heritage.

Admission is free, so while the adults are enjoying the museum exhibits, youngsters can appreciate the Junior Ag Spots scattered throughout the facility. Storybooks about farming, vegetable puzzles and mazes, citrus tic-tac-toe, agriculture videos and more provides hands-on learning for children of all ages!
