Great Explorations Children's MuseumGreat Explorations Children’s Museum has served the Tampa Bay area since 1987. Designed for children 10 and under, the 23,000 square foot museum is filled with exhibits and activities to stimulate learning through creativity, play and exploration. The museum is a learning playground where children can make a discovery, make a mess, and even make a new friend.

The museum is the first mid-size children’s museum in the country and the only children’s museum in Florida to achieve American Alliance of Museums accreditation. This AAM accreditation is the highest recognition for a museum and signifies excellence to the museum community, donors, outside agencies, and to the museum-going public.

The museum is a member of the North American Reciprocal Museums Association. NARM is an affiliation of arts and cultural institutions across North America, including the U.S., Canada and Mexico. Individuals who join a participating NARM institution can receive free admission/discounts at over 650 institutions. Additional regional institutions in NARM include the Anna Maria Island Historical MuseumThe RinglingThe Dali Museum and the Florida Holocaust Museum.
