What is one thing everyone does when on vacation? Go shopping, of course! Whether it is to buy an Anna Maria Island souvenir, T-shirt or an outfit with an island motif, we all want to take a little bit of paradise home with us. Part of the charm of island is that you will not find any major chain or department stores, so finding that one-of-a-kind gift should be easy to do since what you will find is a mix of wonderful and unique stores offering anything from hand-made jewelry to clothing to treasure filled antiques.

In Anna Maria, Pine Avenue is the main strip where you will find an array of whimsical boutiques and shops, including those in the Historic Green Village, the island’s sustainable retail park, and home to the island’s only public bathrooms!

The shopping district in Holmes Beach stretches across a walkable seven-block section of town and includes small unique gift shops, art galleries and the island’s only full-service grocery store, Publix.

But, if you are looking for something really eclectic, Bradenton Beach is the place. Its Bridge Street is home to many shops offering an unusual blend of arts and crafts unique to the island. Make sure you set aside time on Sundays to attend the Bridge Street Market — a perfect outing to get all of your shopping needs met in only one stop!
